Wedding dress display:
There are now five wedding dresses on display in the museum. There is a black wedding dress worn in Manheim, Germany toward the end of the 19th Century. Mrs. Upah’s wedding dress from the 1920’s has been donated to the museum. Mrs. Blinkinsop’s wedding dress from the 1940’s has been donated to the museum. Mrs. Meek’s wedding dress from the 1950’s is on loan to the museum. Deanna Sutphin’s wedding dress from the 1970’s is on loan to the museum. Jolene Blanchard’s wedding dress from the 1970’s has been donated to the museum.

Music on Main:
Friday, June 12, at 6 p.m. the Czech Band will provide music on the Lincoln Highway. There will be entertainment from 5-5:45 p.m. by Claire Winkie
The Historical Board is encouraging musicians to come share their talents with everyone. If you would like to participate please call 319-434-2079.

Motorcycle poker run
Saturday, June 13, starting with a pancake breakfast at 7:30 will be the 4th Annual Wallace Winkie Motorcycle Poker Run. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. Bikes leave at 10 a.m. and return to the American Legion by 5 p.m.

Music on Main: Friday, June 19 at 6;00 p.m. will be Judy Mehlert.
Saturday, June 20 at 2 p.m. Webster owned by Gene Hinkel will be presented and donated to the museum by Dr. Jim and Janet Formanek Doud.
Sunday, June 21 at 6 p.m. the winners from the 2008 hot air balloon raffle will lift off from the west side of the high school. Schedules are pending for rides for Chuck Gordon, Jane Roth, Byran and Sharon Holst.
Wes Beck has created an educational exhibit with a tribute to Linda Abel.
